These Open Houses are NOT Structured Meetings.
They are for Ratepayers to provide their feedback on what they think should be in the bylaw regarding some of the issues which had many folks who own properties and RV's very upset.
We requested the Proposed Land Use Bylaw Amendments 22-2017 and
what we received on Thursday is an updated version of Land Use Bylaw # 24-2014 with new references throughout the document regarding
"Recreational Vehicles". Here is the link to Bylaw 22-2017 that we received.
Why bother to do all the changes to the existing bylaw before receiving the Ratepayers input? After all is this not the purpose of the "OPEN HOUSES" or is it to inform us of what they are doing???
The document is 277 pages. Do they expect everyone to read it and to understand what they are proposing? Better yet, how do we know what the proposals are?
The question about what type of meeting we are to expect received the response that it is,
"NON STRUCTURED"!!!!
Why were the "Proposed Amendments" not put together prior to this meeting in order to properly inform the ratepayers and get the feedback that they are requesting?
WHY START THESE OPEN HOUSE'S MONTHS BEFORE AN ELECTION!!!!
Another waste of Ratepayers money so it makes it even more important to attend!
The Open House tomorrow is at Gunn Hall from 1 - 3 PM.
Come and ask your COUNCILLORS AND COUNTY MANAGER what these mean to you, they all should be in attendance at this meeting. Show them that we are taking our County Back!
Attend and be heard!
CALL ANY OR ALL COUNCILLORS TO DEMAND THE ANSWERS AND MAKE SURE THEY KNOW HOW YOU FEEL - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Pay attention to the maps at the end. Our subdivision is apparently being rezoned and this will allow 152+ RV's in a neighbourhood of 38 lots. Sounds like a fantastic idea . I feel so sorry for the families who were duped into thinking they were raising their children in a community. Now they are going to be raising their kids in a campground.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to reach out to LSARA. What we ask is that you write your concerns to the County regarding these any other issues. When you do, please forward a copy to LSARA so we can keep them honest !
ReplyDeleteOther Counties see the potential damaging effects of allowing out of control "Campgrounds" throughout their County and they do not allow ridiculously loose control in their "Bylaws". Our County on the other-hand seems to think that they have an unlimited "BUDGET" to "ENFORCE" the proposed bylaws. They will have to deal with the mess that these proposed changes will cause and it will cost the Ratepayers of LSAC, all because they do not want to "Enforce" the "CURRENT BYLAWS" with the few Issues that they had. Lessard Landing was the start of this mess!!!!!
