ALBERTA MINISTERS in Premier Notleys NDP Cabinet Busy Looking for the Next Photo Opportunity

ALBERTA MINISTERS in Premier Notleys NDP Cabinet Busy Looking for the Next Photo Opportunity

Today, Onoway was host to not one, but two MINISTERS in Premier Notleys Cabinet. One, O'Neil Carlier is the Minister of Agriculture & Forestry. He is also the MLA for Whitecourt Ste Anne. The other is none other than Shaye Anderson, the MLA for Leduc-Beaumont and the Minister of Municipal Affairs.

These two representatives were at Onoway at 5:30 at the Hub. There were roughly 12 people in attendance. Why so few people for such an important gathering you ask?

Well that's how the Ministers wanted it.

Absolutely no offence to the folks that own the Hub, they are great community people. They, the Ministers, wanted a small intimate crowd. One that as you can see from the pictures really was very small. The invitations went out by phone roughly 10 pm Tuesday evening.

Two Councillors and the Mayor from the County, one from Alberta Beach, two from Onoway.

LSARA has been trying to set a meeting with the Minister of Municipal Affairs to share the frustrations and issues we have with our current council and Administration. To talk to him about the petitions you all signed. All of the information we have gathered has been shared with our local MLA as well, to no avail.

You see, it's about the photo opportunity. One where they can use social media to put plugs in for themselves to show they are out in the community listening to the concerns of the Ratepayers, the very people who have the ability to vote for change.

LSARA got a call after 3:30 pm Wednesday. We all work full time. What could we possibly do with two hours notice? Better yet, is the hotel,( a great place to socialize) the place to discuss the serious issues that face us in the County of Lac Ste Anne? We think not.

We have repeatedly requested an audience to discuss petitions that were improperly validated, bylaws that are being contravened. Spending that is out of control. A council and Administration that are not working in the best interest of ALL the Ratepayers .

They have no time. They are too busy looking for the next photo opportunity. Check out Shaye Anderson Facebook page. It validates my point. Do what the people who elected you want you to do which is LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE.

Both Ministers need to be reminded that the people elected change, not the party or the candidate. We would welcome and appreciate your comments.

Please share and most certainly feel free to comment on Shaye's photo opportunity.
