It's NOT too Late to CALL IN a Professional Geotechnical Engineering Firm such as this one to Assess the Damage, the Cause and Provide Recommendations for the Proper Solutions as an Unbiased Opinion of the Heaving Floor Issue !!!!
The question is, What Did Our Engineering Firm Do and where are their reports. How are they dealing with the FAILURE of this Building?
When LSARA asked the County for this information the County Manager told us to "FOIP IT".
- Why is this information NOT ON the LSAC Web Site????
- What are they Trying to HIDE???
- How do they think they can rectify this MAJOR ISSUE for $16000.00????
Our County Manager and our Council are too concerned with their "BUDGET" and the "COMPLETION DATE" rather than to do what is right, which is to "DEMAND" the Accountability that we the Ratepayers are Paying For and Deserve!
This Building was started as a "Priority Rush" and now they are trying to complete it as a "Priority HUSH"!!!
Why would you "RUSH" to complete a Building when you have serious "Concrete Slab Issues"?
This buildings "Heaving Slab" is part of the buildings foundation and it should have been built to last the life expectancy of the building! It is not a cosmetic replaceable item!
The only reason to "Rush" the completion of this building is so the Contractor and the Project Manager get paid off and to turn over Possession of this mess to "YOU" the RATEPAYERS!!
For LSAC not to take this "ISSUE" seriously is ridiculous! The project manager says it's up to the County if they want to take "Core Samples". Excuse me! That should have been done Months ago when they first knew there was an Issue with the "HEAVING FLOORS"!!
