How Are Your Road Conditions

How Are Your Road Conditions

Those of you who live in Lac Ste Anne County may be  aware there is a calcium program that you can "buy" the service from the County for dust control. The cost is $420 per 100 meters to the Ratepayers. This does not cover all the costs. There is the staking by the county staff prior, then the gravel, the grading, the water truck and then maintenance.

Seems that there are "Special Considerations" for some roads in some divisions wherein the residents don't pay a dime and neither does the business that is at the end of this road. The Councillor for the area says it's because of the golf course!

Do we as Ratepayers take care of certain areas differently due to businesses?

RGE RD 33 TWP RD between 564 and 570, 1100 meters is what we have paid for since the Division 3 Councillor was elected by acclimation in 2013 and won his seat in 2009.

Why does this Road get special consideration? More costs to the Ratepayers that benefits a few. This is in direct contradiction of the responsibility of a Councillor to consider the welfare of all Ratepayers as a whole.
